Jeanette Yarbrough
Since childhood I have taken great pleasure in using my artistic creativity while drawing, painting, and sculpting. Most of my work is two dimensional, varying from portraits, to abstracts, to landscapes, and still-life scenes. My favorite medium is oils because of their richness and lush color, but I also work in watercolor and pastels. My unique style is "impressionistic”. I am currently working on illustrations for some children's books.
My work is widely exhibited. Annually, I participate in Fall for Art sponsored by Flow BMW and Associated Artists of Winston-Salem. One of my paintings is on display at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. In 2013, I exhibited in the Nostalgia show at Davidson County Community College. Other community exhibitions include Shallowford Presbyterian Church in Lewisville, Centenary United Methodist and First Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, and the Dixie Classic Fair in Winston-Salem, and the Forsyth County Public Library in Lewisville.
