HELP us HELP you

SHARE YOUR TIME AND TALENT.   MAKE NEW FRIENDS.    HAVE FUN!
When you volunteer within Muddy River Art Association, you strengthen the organization.  That means we can better serve you and our community.  There are many areas where your help is needed.   Check out the descriptions below.   How will you get involved?

COMMUNITY EXHIBITS

Artwork by members of Muddy River are displayed in selective community businesses, churches and other sites. All members are eligible to participate as they choose. Art at each location is changed every two months. There are both group and individual shows.

Group community exhibits need people to check art in and out, to accept fees, if applicable, and to hang art.

STUDENT MENTORING

In order to encourage young artist on the community, Muddy River Art Association has begun mentoring art students at Forsyth Technical Community College. Mentorship may include teaching students how to prepare their art for display, art instruction, and sharing other information of benefit to beginning artists.

We need several more members to serve as mentors.

STUDENT ART SHOW

Each spring, Muddy River Art Association is proud to host the Annual Scholastic Art Show for students K-12 in  the western Forsyth County area of North Carolina. Students are invited  to display their art in a juried two week long show at the Clemmons Public Library in Clemmons, NC to showcase local students' art.  There is a public opening reception for the exhibit, which includes prize awards and refreshments.

Volunteers are needed to help with this show.
We need people to check art in and out, to hang art, to donate food for reception, to set up the reception and clean up afterwards and to help during the awards ceremony.

ADULT JURIED SHOW

In the fall, Muddy River Art Association hosts a juried show for ages 18 and older. Ribbons and cash prizes are awarded during the opening reception which is open to the public. In the past, the juried shows have been held at the Clemmons Public Library.

The juried shows need people to check art in and out, to accept fees, if applicable, to hang art, to donate food for receptions.
